Guide for ViewSonic IFP Display Issues with a Chromebook
Preliminary Checks:
Ensure Power Supply: Confirm both the ViewSonic IFP and the Chromebook are turned on and properly connected to power.
Check Cable Connections:
- Make sure the cable (usually HDMI) connecting the Chromebook to the IFP is securely plugged in at both ends.
- Inspect the cable for any visible damage and replace if necessary.
Select the Correct Input on the IFP:
- Use the input selection control on the IFP to choose the input source that corresponds to the port used for the Chromebook.
Test Chromebook on Another Display (if possible):
- Connect the Chromebook to a different monitor to ensure it's functioning properly.
Rebooting the Chromebook:
Reboot Chromebook:
- Restart the Chromebook by clicking on the time in the bottom right corner, selecting the power icon, and then choosing 'Restart'.
- Allow the Chromebook to complete its boot-up process.
Check Display Output:
- After the Chromebook reboots, check if the ViewSonic IFP now correctly displays the image from the Chromebook.
