Guide for ViewSonic IFP Display Issues with a Chromebook

Preliminary Checks:

  1. Ensure Power Supply: Confirm both the ViewSonic IFP and the Chromebook are turned on and properly connected to power.

  2. Check Cable Connections:

    • Make sure the cable (usually HDMI) connecting the Chromebook to the IFP is securely plugged in at both ends.
    • Inspect the cable for any visible damage and replace if necessary.
  3. Select the Correct Input on the IFP:

    • Use the input selection control on the IFP to choose the input source that corresponds to the port used for the Chromebook.
  4. Test Chromebook on Another Display (if possible):

    • Connect the Chromebook to a different monitor to ensure it's functioning properly.

Rebooting the Chromebook:

  1. Reboot Chromebook:

    • Restart the Chromebook by clicking on the time in the bottom right corner, selecting the power icon, and then choosing 'Restart'.
    • Allow the Chromebook to complete its boot-up process.
  2. Check Display Output:

    • After the Chromebook reboots, check if the ViewSonic IFP now correctly displays the image from the Chromebook.
